R: Lo que nos reímos ayer viendo Dirty Dancing y el baile de Hula Hana. ¡Qué canción, qué “prefromans“!
M: Sí, sí, nos dieron muchas ganas de cantar en un festival de esos de campamento de verano.
R: La estética Hawaii/hula/tiki no tiene competidor, es encantadora.
M: Y la música. Esas steel guitars y esos ukuleles; y no te digo nada del nivel del jazz hawaiano.
R: We laughed so much we cried yesterday seeing Hula Hana’s Dirty Dancing scene. What a wonderful daft song, and what a performance!, with that chicken-Hawaiian-dance.
M: We suddenly felt the need to take part in one of those Summer camp festivals.
R: Hawaiian/hula/tiki aesthetic is like no other; charming and so naively cute.
M: And the music. Those steel guitars and those ukuleles; and what about the level of Hawaiian jazz.

M: Para todos esos músicos que piensan que la estética lo es todo (y, ojo, es mucho), dos ejemplos de grandes grupos que van vestidos como personas normales, no como payasos: The Magnetic Fields y The Shins.
R: Menuda voz tiene Merritt. Y esa línea fantástica, una de las tantas: “If there’s such a thing as love, I’m in it”.
M: For all those musicians who think that it’s all about the appereance (which is pretty crucial anyway), find here two great bands that dress like common people: The Magnetic Fields and The Shins.
R: Merritt, what a voice. And this fantastic line, one of the many they have: “If there’s such a thing as love, I’m in it”.
